Tim Kern – President
Tim is the Program Coordinator, Business Continuity at Gateway Health Plan® in downtown Pittsburgh. He has been in the Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery field for 16 years. He is an active member of the Pittsburgh Tri-State Chapter of ACP and was elected President of this Chapter in January 2011. In his position as Program Coordinator, Business Continuity, he manages Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Pandemic Planning. He has worked at Gateway Health Plan® for 3 years and is also a member of the Pittsburgh Regional Business Coalition for Homeland Security and the Pittsburgh Three Rivers Contingency Planning Association.
Lisa Spacht - Secretary
Lisa is a Senior Loss Control Consultant at Wells Fargo Insurance Services. Prior to that, she served as PPG Industries, Inc. Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor at the Meadville Flat glass Plant. She currently holds a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) license and is a member of American Society of Safety Engineers, National Fire Protection Association and the Association of Contingency Planners.
Melanie Lucht - Treasurer
Melanie is an Assistant Vice President of Corporate Business Resiliency at PNC Financial Services in downtown Pittsburgh. Melanie has been in the Risk Management field for over 12 years in the financial, insurance, and manufacturing industries. Melanie is a Certified Business Continuity Professional, Certified Insurance Counselor, and Certified Continuity Manager. In addition to her membership within the ACP, she is also a member of the Three Rivers Contingency Planning Association and Pittsburgh Regional Business Coalition for Homeland Security.
Nancy Roth - Membership Director
Nancy is a Business Continuity Consultant for Highmark Inc. Nancy has worked at Highmark for a combined 18 years (left once then returned). Nancy’s career consists of 23 years in the Systems field both Technical and Business and 3 years in her current position in Business Continuity Planning. In addition to her membership within the ACP, she is also a member of the Three Rivers Contingency Planning Association.
Lou Seidel - Program Director
Lou is the Director of Business Development for AccuWeather Enterprise Solutions Inc. Lou has held various positions within AccuWeather and he has been with the privately held Firm since July of 1995. Lou is responsible for the development and deployment of end-user Enterprise Weather Solutions in the Northeastern United States. These Solutions include “Location Based Mission Critical Weather Warnings” triggering Contingency Planning, Data Ingest Forecasts Services, and Weather Briefing & Consultation Services. In his pre AccuWeather Business life, Lou was a Consultant with State Street Research through the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company while attaining his (LUTCF) Fellowship Designation and Registered Representative Designation through the (NASD) National Association of Securities Dealers.
Charlotte Ways - Information Director
Charlotte works as a Facilities Business Continuity Coordinator at Highmark Inc. She has extensive background in administrative responsibilities at the CEO level. In her position as Facilities Business Continuity Coordinator, she manages both Business Continuity and Pandemic Planning for all divisions of the Standard Property Corporation which manages all Highmark properties.
